For independent restaurants
Snap your invoices. Know your food cost every week.
Take a photo of every supplier invoice. Plateline checks every line, flags price increases and shorted cases, and works out what each plate on your menu costs you to make. No software to learn.
Founding restaurants get their first month free and lock in launch pricing.
Food prices change every week. Most owners find out at the end of the month.
Suppliers raise prices a few cents at a time. Cases get shorted. Nobody has time to check every line of every invoice after a double.
So the menu stays the same while each plate quietly costs more to make, and on thin margins that adds up fast.
Plateline does the line-by-line work for you, on every delivery.
How it works
About a minute per delivery.
Snap every page
When a delivery arrives, take a photo of each page of the invoice on your phone. Crumpled, folded or coffee-stained is fine.
Every line is checked
Plateline reads each item and price, then checks the supplier's own math. If anything doesn't add up, it tells you instead of guessing.
See what changed
Price increases, shorted cases and what each plate now costs you, right away and in a short email every Monday.
What you get
Everything a busy owner needs. Nothing they don't.
Price change alerts
Every item's price compared with the last delivery, so a 6-cent increase never slips by again.
Shorted cases
Ordered 30, received 20? You'll see it on the spot, so you can ask for the credit before the driver leaves.
What every plate costs
Snap your menu and Plateline drafts each recipe from what you buy. Your chef checks the portions; plate costs update with every invoice.
Monday email + Excel
A short summary every Monday morning, with the week's spreadsheet attached. Forward it straight to your bookkeeper.
Plate costs
Know what your burger really costs to make.
Snap your menu once. Plateline suggests each recipe using the exact items on your invoices, works out case sizes and portions, and keeps the cost current as prices move.
Your chef stays in charge: every amount is easy to adjust, and nothing counts until it's checked.
Classic Burger
samplePlateline weekly: 2 price increases, 1 case shorted, 2 plates cost more
3 invoices this week, $5,472 in deliveries.
Every Monday
Read it before lunch prep.
One short email: what went up, what was shorted, which plates cost more, and anything that needs a second look. The week's spreadsheet is attached.

Questions
Do I need to download an app?
No. Plateline works in your phone's web browser. Tap Share › Add to Home Screen and it opens like an app.
Which suppliers does it work with?
Any supplier that gives you an invoice: broadline distributors, the produce company, the local bakery. If it's printed on the invoice, Plateline can read it.
What if it reads something wrong?
Every invoice is checked against its own math: each line, the total and the amount due. If something doesn't add up, Plateline says so and keeps that invoice out of your price comparisons until it's fixed.
How does it know what my plates cost?
Snap your menu. Plateline drafts a recipe for each dish using the items you actually buy. Your chef checks the portions once, and from then on the cost updates with every invoice.
Who can see my data?
Only you. Each restaurant has its own private account, and you can download everything as a spreadsheet anytime.
What does "founding restaurant" mean?
